Biography

Yashasvi Jaiswal was born in Bhadoni, Uttar Pradesh on 28 December 2001. He is currently 18 years old. His full name is Jashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal. He is the fourth child of a total six children. His father’s name is Bhupendra Jaiswal and he is an owner of a small hardware shop and his mother Kanchan Jaiswal is a home-maker.

He moved to Mumbai at the age of 10 and lived in a town named Dadar. The reason for moving is to take cricket coaching at Azad Maidan. He later moved to Kalbadevi which was nearer to Maidan than Dadar. He worked in a dairy shop and used to go to cricket coaching. Soon, he lost his job at the dairy shop as he was unable to provide much help as he spent most of his time training. He lived in a tent at Maidan and used to sell panipuri to make some money for himself.

After grinding for three years, his passion for cricket was seen by Jwala Singh in 2013. He ran a cricket academy. Then, he got joined the club and was given a place to stay.  He practiced day and night and finally, he was recognized by Limca Book of Records when he scored 319 runs and picked 13 wickets in a school cricket match.

This got him selected for the Mumbai U-16 team and later into the U-19 squad. He made his first-class cricket debut on 7 January 2019 and List A debut on 28 September 2019. On 16 October 2019, he scored a double century against Jharkhand in Vijay Hazare Trophy which made him the youngest cricketer to score a List A double century.

Finally, on 19 December 2019 at the IPL 2020 auction, he was sold for a whopping price of Rs. 2.4 crore for Rajasthan Royals. He had achieved something very amusing at a very young age and his parents would be so proud of this. His journey from being a panipuri guy to a professional cricketer is very inspiring.
