NF grew up listening to a lot of rap music growing up. He also stated that he was inspired by Eminem. Sadly, people often misjudge him to an ‘Eminem copy’ as he sounds quite similar. Nathan started his rap career way back in 2010 & launched his debut album named Moments. The next year, he came up with a debut single Alone which featured two other artists. Then in 2012, he released his debut EP I’m Free. He released this EP with the label Xist Music but he left the label after the EP launch. The next year, he released a few singles.
In 2014, he signed to a new music label & released another EP named NF. This EP has reached a bigger audience as it charted on various weekly charts.
